Overview

Cass Wireless is seeking a skilled and experienced Telecoms Electrician to support mobile network deployment, upgrade, and maintenance projects across the UK. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical installations within the telecommunications sector and be confident working with both single-phase and three-phase power systems.

You will play a key role in ensuring telecommunications equipment is safely installed, powered, tested, and commissioned in line with industry standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, connect, and maintain Power Supply Units (PSUs) for telecommunications equipment.

• Carry out electrical installations on single-phase and three-phase power systems.

• Support telecoms site deployment and upgrade activities alongside rigging and integration teams.

• Install and connect Base Transceiver Stations (BTS) across multi-vendor 4G and 5G networks.

• Perform testing, fault-finding, and verification of electrical systems and connections.

• Read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, and site documentation.

• Ensure all electrical works are completed safely and in compliance with industry regulations.

• Complete installation records, test results, and project documentation accurately.

• Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety, and quality at all times.

Essential Requirements

• NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent recognised electrical qualification.

• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.

• Proven experience in telecoms or construction electrical works.

• Experience installing and connecting PSU systems.

• Strong knowledge of single-phase and three-phase electrical systems.

• Experience working with multi-vendor BTS equipment across 4G and 5G networks.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics.

• Full UK driving licence.

• Strong commitment to health, safety, and quality standards.

• Willingness to travel and work nationwide.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on major UK mobile network operator projects.

• MEWP certification.

• First Aid at Work certification.

• NRSWA accreditation.

• Additional telecoms industry certifications.
