Summary: Support the installation, upgrade, and maintenance of mobile network infrastructure, working on major operator networks throughout the UK as a PCN Rigger or PICW.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Overview

CASS Wireless is seeking experienced PCN Riggers and PCN PICWs to support mobile telecommunications deployment, upgrade, and maintenance projects across the UK.


Successful candidates will work across multiple operator networks, including EE, Vodafone, Three UK, and Virgin Media O2, delivering infrastructure projects to the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance.


Whether working as a Rigger or leading site activities as a PICW, you will play an important role in supporting the UK's evolving telecommunications network infrastructure.


Key Responsibilities


PCN Riggers

  • Install, replace, and maintain antennas, feeders, RRUs, cabinets, and associated telecoms equipment.

  • Carry out rigging and lifting operations using approved techniques and equipment.

  • Work safely at height on rooftops, towers, monopoles, and lattice structures.

  • Conduct site surveys and identify potential risks before commencing work.

  • Support integration and commissioning activities where required.

  • Maintain accurate site records, photographs, and documentation.

  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and quality requirements.


PCN PICW (Person in Charge of Works)

  • Lead and supervise rigging teams on site.

  • Ensure works are completed in accordance with client specifications and industry standards.

  • Conduct toolbox talks, site briefings, and risk assessments.

  • Manage site safety, quality, and productivity.

  • Coordinate activities with project managers, field managers, and client representatives.

  • Ensure completion of permits, documentation, and close-out packs.

  • Promote a strong safety culture and maintain compliance with company and client procedures.


Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience within the UK telecommunications industry.

  • Experience working on EE, Vodafone, Three UK, and/or Virgin Media O2 networks.

  • Competence in rigging techniques, lifting operations, and pulley systems.

  • Comfortable working at height in challenging environments.

  • Strong understanding of telecoms health and safety requirements.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Full UK driving licence.

  • Willingness to travel and work nationwide.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Climber / Tower Rescue Certification.

  • RF Awareness.

  • First Aid at Work.

  • Manual Handling.

  • Asbestos Awareness.

  • Rooftop Safety.

  • NRSWA accreditation.

  • SSSTS or SMSTS (particularly for PICW applicants).

  • Relevant operator accreditations and permissions.
